B7 viewing today...

So not for any reason other than curiosity I looked at a B7 today. I had driven past it last weekend on a forecourt, great colour and a good price, so I found it on Autotrader afterwards. Summary is its a 2012 2.0tdi 140 manual wagon, one owner & what I imagine is a standard spec. Drove it, and there the disappointment started - with the exception of the power, the 6th gear & and a degree of refinement, it felt the same as my current Passat. Not tighter, not a drastically different ride, dynamically near-as-dammit identical From my perspective.
So I was offered a great trade-in offer, and the cost to change is tenable.... But I'm hesitant because my current car can't be faulted. What to do. Advice appreciated.
