I need a place for flights

I'm hopeing to visit some people i know in Louisiana in august, i've tried so hard to find the cheapest flights i possibly can and having no luck, i havent been on a plane for years now, but does anybody know any websites i can check or ideas to get me a cheaper flight at all, money is a issue on this one, but time of the year i'm going the flights are like £600+, so any suggestions would be appreciated. 8)
