Van insurance - any suggestions? Courier work

Hi all, looking into a change of career and been trying to get some quotes, think I'm looking in the wrong places cos I have so far had a quote of £6.5k, £8k and £10.5k

I'm 27 (nearly 28) with 5 (nearly 6) years ncb on my car policy, 8 years driving experience and it will be a brand new van, hopefully working for one of the big parcel companies.

Any tips or is there anyone that does this can point me in the right direction?

Obviously I'm gonna need public liability insurance and goods in transit insurance but they're the easy ones to sort.
