Best Smart Phone Query?

Done a search but can't find anything up to date, so hoping for some advice. 
Wanting to upgrade to a smartphone, need something with good tinternet access for mapping information for work and to use as a basic SatNav for the bike at weekends. As well as texting, normal phone use, etc.
Anybody suggest which is the best for the money and able to give me good and quick internet access on a screen I can see? Looking at probably changing to contract from PayasGo to cover cost of phone and to get it insured against loss and damage.
Gone through loads of online reviews of S2 and Iphones but after some real world experiences.
