Got a new genuine battery for a very old laptop. Acer Travelmate 2300.
It fully charges but wont run on battery alone for more than about 15 seconds, as soon as it tries to boot windows it shuts off.
If I boot on AC power and unplug charger it runs no longer than 20 seconds.
If I get to the bios screen on AC power and unplug AC it will happily sit there to the battery goes flat hours later.
The original battery lasted longer.
Any computer gurus got any ideas ??
