I've got a polo at the moment and looking for something, bigger, classier and vag.
I've got around £2000 to play with but I could free up more money if I'd get a bigger bargain for my buck...
I've been looking at the 1.8 20v as they seem around this price range for a 2000/02 plate.
Can anyone advise me on what to look at (what goes wrong, usual problems)
What can I expect for my money
What sort of MPG does the 1.8 20v generate
Expensive to look after?
Milage?
I won't be doing any engine mod's but it'd be good to know - what are the chips like for their value?
Ideally I'll be lowering it on good suspension, doing the usual debadge, deep dished wheels and the like... I just want a genuinly clean car that can carry 5 comfortably
