Hi all this is my 1st post so be gentle 
... Just after some advice on oil really. Ive recently purchased my first Vw and am in love with it. Due to money rrestrictions im thinking of doing my own oil and filters change . The car came with full vw service history so thought it wouldnt hurt this time round . My problem is oil choice ?? Ive been on Gsf , euros and halfords but there are many choices (dpf/no dpf etc) and I want to get it right. Having looked at the service booklets its mainley had Mobil super 3000 5w 40 in the past and halfords seem to be the only ones out of the 3 that do it. but there are several options even on that arrrggghh! My car is an 11 plate VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT 10- 2.0 TDI Diesel (08/10 - 12/14).
