I recently sold my beloved Golf GTI mk5 and put the money towards a deposit for a house
My dad give me his old 2004 Passat tdi 130 Sport as he bought a new car, unfortunately he decided it would be a good idea to go over a speed bump at speed and damage the sump and keep driving without oil.
so it needed a new engine. I managed to get a AVF engine with low enough miles 133k which is now fitted and its a great going thing, not sure if its been mapped but its so much quicker than the original. I also changed the clutch timing belt etc.
So cars going well mechanically just need all the other electrical gremlins sorted. Airbag lights, ccms issues etc
