I've been a voyeur of your forum for the last couple of months after purchasing my first ever VW Passat.. a 1999 1.8 SE.
This site was a deal clincher, as the Passat at the time of purchase the Passat didn't have any power to windows or interior lights, alarm was malfunctioning... sound familiar?!
The dreaded water ingress fault was solved without the need for any posts as you guy's had covered everything i needed to know in superb detail. I now have a wonderful car that is (touch wood) water tight and drives like a dream!
Couldn't have done it without your help and cumulative knowledge...
