VW Newbie, hello. *Headunit replacements

Hi everyone. Brand new to VWs (and forums!) so please forgive any schoolboy errors.
Just bought myself a 2009 Passat Estate 2.0 Diesel Highline. Lovely car in reasonable condition but CD player not working and showing 'CD Error Service' - from quick Internet research I see this means the headunit is gubbed. So looking for (reasonably cheap) headunit replacement options suggestions. Cheers, Martin
