How to get to sump bolts behind gearbox?!!?!!

Hi guys I'm in the middle of removing the sump from my 1996 1.9tdi b4 but can't seem to get to the last 2 bolts that are behind the gearbox housing, how do I get to these? Do I have to split the gearbox from the engine? Any info is much appreciated! Thank you!
