To do list for my recently acquired V6

Post by EddyH »

Further to my introduction thread, I have been going over the car to work up a list of jobs to do.

So far in the week I've owned it I've done the following:

Given it a quick wash which revealed the RS4 reps are in pretty bad condition.
Given the interior a clearout of the KFC packaging, chocolate bar wrappers and found £1.20 & 1 US cent.
Replaced the bonnet strut.
Put the drivers side wiper on the right way up!
Glued a couple of cracks in the rear centre console.
Had a major service done.
Had the cam cover gaskets and breather pipe replaced.
Had the pollen filter housing sealed.
Replaced the rubber gasket around the aerial base and fitted a new aerial.
Fitted new number plates with my wife's cherished number on.

Still on the to do list:

Give the interior a proper clean and condition the leather.
Dry out the passenger footwell.
Remove the superglue from the boot which has been used to affix some of the badges which are now missing.
Polish and wax the bodywork.
Replace the boot badges.
Discs and pad all round.

If anyone has any hints or tips for me they will be gratefully received. I hope to take some photo's next weekend and will get them posted up.
