B5 Key fob not working

Hi,

Since i have owned my B5 the key fob does not work.

i have to put the key in the door to open and unlock the door.

I have tried the Key synchronisation but this does not work for me

the light constantly stays on the key fob

The key fob i have is the normal one built in with the key

not the flip type

any help and advice appreciated
