I've just broken down on the M6 northbound. The RAC recovered me to Burtonwood services where the car was scanned for faults.
The car lost all power and showed 'Engine Workshop!' on the dash.
The fault code was accelerator pedal position sensor faulty.
We took the pedal out & took it apart, cleaned all the contacts & put it all back together, to no avail.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows how much they are to replace? Or if anyone has had a similar fault & it turned out to be sonething different? The reason I ask that is the pedal looked fine inside, with no breaks in the circuit etc...
