Cruise control loom

I have the chance to buy a Cruise control stalk and uncut loom removed from a Skoda VRS, I'm pretty sure the stalk is the right one for my AFN B5 but what about the loom?? The VRS is petrol so will it work with my diesel?
The part number on the stalk is 8L0953513J if that's any help.....
