OIL PUMP PICK-UP
I have been told that passats on high mileage should have the oil pump pick-up replaced. I have a 1998 1.8 20v Turbo. 122k. What is the book time for the job? Also, can you buy the pick-up seperately or does it come complete with oil pump. I beleive you have to drop the sub frame and drain the sump obviously. I dont know if it was done on my car prior to me buying it as I have had it a bit over three years and have 6 monthly oil changes on it in my ownership. Anyone able to shed any light on this subject or had it done?
