Having a new windscreen fitted to my 02 passat sport on Thursday or Friday. It's the screen with the tinted glass and the wiper sensor. I'm always really nervous about replacement glass following bad experiences in the past.
Anyone have any tips or guidance they could provide about what to look / watch out for during / after Autoglass has fitted the screen. I understand the rain sensor can be glued in wrongly and cheap glass can cause vision problems. Scuttle panel removal have resulted in cracks etc.
Also, can I insist on a genuine VW screen, or do I have to take a pilkington, Saint Germaine etc ?
