On the scrounge !!!

Hi my 2005 130 Passat has Emissions Workshop ! And eml light is constantly on.
Had it read for fault codes and none found ! Eml was cleared but but warning and eml came back on the next day.
Car seems to drive fine so I am at a loss As to what it can be.
I was wondering if there was any forum members that weren't to far away from me ( Braintree Essex ) that had a genuine VAG code reader that would be kinda enough to have a look for me,as I'm not sure the guy who read for the code before had the proper equipment.
