Slip Ring

Hi all,
As you know I am in the process of fitting a MFSW and cruise control.
I have read that because mine was made without traction control my slip ring or whatever you want to call it, only has 4 connectors on the ring. Apparently I need to have 5 connectors.
Is this right?
If so is anybody on here breaking one local to Runcorn?
