Door lock issue, but not the usual...

I'm having an issue with my drivers door lock when using the double pull of the handle method of unlocking and opening the door. The button goes up but the door doesn't open. The module is a replacement module (by the previous owner) but it is working fine in all electronic ways. I can unlock the door with the key fob or buttons on the drivers door.
