B5 1.8t vag com readings

Hi all just used vagcom to see if I had any codes which I didnt 
However I checked the maf reading at idle and noticed the rpm was fluctuating between 760 and 850 also the g/s was fluctuating between 2.34 to 3.16,is this normal,i believe its in range but should both values be stable? Also did a 2nd gear rant up to 6500 and that showed 180g/s, missus was in the car told me to slow down lol. Does the above sound normal? Car is mapped b5 1.8t apu 1999
