I changed the discs and pads on the car about 18 months ago using PAGID discs and pads. I recently had the front wheels balanced and whilst they were off I had a nosey at things and noticed the wear on the pads seems to be wedge shaped; the pad seems to have unevenly worn with a gap appearing at the front edge of the disc. Is this normal or is there a problem, if so what might it be? The brakes work fine, no juddering or pulling. The tyre fitter reckoned it was normal so the brake dust has somewhere to go but I don't recall the pads being anything other than flat/parallel when I put them in.
Also I have a rather annoying squeak - am hoping it disappears when I strip and clean the brakes.
Anybody have any ideas?
