Hi, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of fitting a replacement aerial?
I have recently installed an 8" Android head unit, got the double header fakra-DIN converter and the reception is dire!
The adaptor has a blue wire from it which I believe is a 12v power input, I have not connected this. If I assume correctly would it be OK to connect this to a perm 12v line i.e the amp output (not using a seperate amp anyway)?
Will it make much difference to the reception? It was a fairly cheap adaptor from ebay at around 5 quid. I didn't want to connect the power input for fear of it not being very well made a a possible risk, although it is all insulated.
Failing all that, i had thought about a shark fin as I like the look of them. Does anyone have any suggestions for such an aerial to go for?
My car is a b6 2010 estate.
Any thoughts please would be much appreciated.
