Last saturday got an engine stop workshop error come up on the dis, scanned and came up with egr fault. A friend who is a mechanic has taken the egr valve of the car and left it with me, with a question. Ive posted the pics in the thread, got a few questions.
Why are there two parts?? thought the egr valve was just one unit. Secondly can I 'dunk' both parts into a bowl of diesel/carb cleaner and leave it overnight. Im concerned as is my mate about submerging them with the electronics still attached, will it cause any harm to the circuits/electronics being submerged?
To be honest ive seen MUCH worse pics on the net and mine doesnt seem that bad, but mechanic says clean them!
