Thanks for having a read, my names Adam, I previously drove a Fiesta Zetec S but fancied a change, I've just bought a Passat B6 PD 170 from a bloke you may have heard of called Tom Edwards, who had it on 19" Bentley's. I don't have the Bentley's unfortunately
All credit to the previous owners, as currently the car has few subtle mods:
R-Line rear spoiler
Lowered on FK Coilies
Donut mod rear lights
Matt Purple engine bay parts
DPF Removal
EGR blanked
Black headliner and E30 sunvisors and sunglass holder
Tinted windows
Heko Wind Deflectors
Remap to around 220BHP 450 NM Torque
I have a few plans for it as well such as, but not limited to:
AMG 18 Alloys as per photo below, with black centres, or AMG C63 black multi spokes, not quite sure but if anyone has any suggestions for OEM wheels please share
Get arches touched up as burnt through from rubbing
Spray bonnet parts matte gold
US number plateless front grill
R Line splitter
any suggestions welcome?
Now, I have had a few issues with it so far, and any advice would be highly appreciated so I have set them out below:
- DPF light comes on intermittently, I spoke to the bloke that did the remap and he said something about the cluster relearning values, and i need to plug in to vag.com and delete learned values, as the ECU doesnt know that DPF has been gutted, does that sound about right, or do I need a fresh map?
-EPB Light has come on, I've replaced the switch and I'm aware that I now need to reset the fault code, I have read that I can disconnect negative battery terminal, leave for 10 mins, re attach, turn car on but not engine, depress brake pedal and turn the EPB on twice, is that correct? Can someone who did it let me know the right way to do it please?
-When car is started from cold, there is a kinda squeaking from the rear passenger side area, possibly the coilover? Anyone had anything similar or now a fix?
-I have a spare key, but its not coded to the car, does anyone know roughly how much it costs to have coded, and is it only VW garages that can do it?
-There is oil splatter in the engine bay, pictures below, now this is my biggest worry as im pretty sure it wasnt there a week ago, car runs fine and I cant locate the source as theres quite a lot of oil there, but if you could have a look at the photo and suggest anything that would be great?
- It has the Bluetooth AppRadio, and when I turned the car on the other day the time was wrong, and has been consistently wrong since then, I cant seem to change it in the settings and also the whole unit seems to have reset itself, as custom EQ and radio stations have gone, any thoughts?
