DPF light on, heating coil light flashing and engine warning

hey guys, right, the missus is driving around in the Passat and the DPF light is on, the HEATING COIL light is flashing and it says ENGINE FAULT, GARAGE,

what does this mean and should she stop straight away?
No oil light and temp seems normal she said?

whats to do? please help ASAP!
