Any 100 mm hex key balancer shaft failures ?

KMB Parts Direct told me even the 100mm as fitted as oe to some CR are due to fail because they have the same 15 mm contact length with the keyway in the balancer shaft as the 77 mm .
My dad's old 77 vs new 100 , 15mm worn length at the end .
So if there is a failed 100 mm what is the end length of wear ?
