Creaking Dash

Arghhh - Hello Folks,
I've owned my Passat (07 Plate DSG Estate 84K) all of 3 days and I hate it already, it creaks every time I accelerate. and Brake.
It sounds like its coming from a number of places in the centre dash area.
My last 2 cars (in 7 years) have been Mondeo's with a combined mileage of 370K with not so much of a Creak, Squeak or Rattle. The older of the 2 being a Y Reg TDDi with the more agricultural engine.
So I decided to 'upgrade' and already regretting it BIG time.
Is it a common issue or have I got a Friday afternoon car?
