Maf issue bkp

So the engine light came on with emissions garage so scanned car got p0102 airflow low input signal so bought a new maf genuine Bosch swapped it over and still have light on clear the code and it shows as pending straight away. On previous cars when the maf has been goosed u got running issues but the car feels absolutely fine
I notified the intake from the bonnet to the air box the lid for that is not a very secure fit could this be an issue
