Gear knob change.

Does anyone know if Audi gear knobs will fit the Passat b6? Myn needs replacing as much of the chrome has peeled off. I believe that the standard Passat gear knob is too big.
I have seen some very nice Audi S gear knobs. If they will not fit then what other options do I have besides the more expensive rocco gear knob. I definitely need a sporty gear knob which has a nice feel and a firm grip in my left hand....
Just checking if there is a cheaper alternative otherwise I will probably have to fork out the extra cash.
