EPB intermittent fault help undersatanding vcds code

Hi All,

i have just moved into passat ownership after many years of VW cars (just sold my T5) hopefully someone can shed some light/help me out on this issue

58 plate passat sport
2.0tdi
Saloon
auto hold feature

I have had a few occasions now where the EPB has come up with a fault flashing up on the screen. 3 times this has been when i want to park up, push the button, says there is a fault and wont put the parking brake on. I turn the car off & on again and it seems to work fine again. This morning after being parked up all night i went to leave pushed the button and it said there was a fault again turn on off 2 times and it works fine!!

I have purchased a new switch to replace the old one as i am hoping it is just a faulty switch (awaiting delivery of the switch now!) hopefully this wont be an expensive caliper fix!

I have done a scan and this was the faults listed for the parking brake
