p246e exhaust gas temperature sensor 4 bank 1

Hi
I've got an error on my 2.0tdi cr, it's coming on and off with a ping on the dash every few seconds, how annoying!
The fault is p246e exhaust gas temperature sensor 4 bank 1
I've read this is after the dpf but unsure on a part number. Is there anyway to find out the part number? Also, is there just one sensor after the dpf?
I wanted to order the part an avoid removing the air box and intake pipes in this wet weather, only to have tto put it all back until the sensor arrives!
