Still trying to remove pipe to replace MAP.

Good afternoon all,
Can anybody tell me what the silver pipe is in the pic please, it goes into a wee box under the Alternator, is it a coolant pipe and can it be easily removed?
It is the only thing blocking the plastic intercooler pipe from coming free via underneath as I am not removing the oil cooler on the other side.
Have searched everywhere online to no avail.
