toca did you rub the trim down with anything like light grade wet n dry or just thinners or something?

toca i looked at your photos of you plastidipping the trim, around the back door areas you didnt mask up very tight and must have got some of it on the paintwork, is it easy to wipe off or doesnt stick to paint or something.

jesus that filter is 300 quid, surely your better off just fitting a green cotton panel filter(best make), and cutting the intake holes in the front panel plastic insert out and making them one long rectangular hole for more air intake and maybe coating the inside of the airbox with heat resistant t...

cheers, i try to make everything look as close to oem as possible, drls are 3w led instead of 1w leds, brighter and look factory fitted.

hi guys, further to my question on the oil pump problem with passats, does anyone know when the pump was upgraded on the a4 2.0 tdi, as in is it from a chassis number or what. as looking at a dec 06 a4 tdi 140 m tronic with 122k on it.

poo, i reckon it is the intercooler pipe leaking.

right following on from my last thread, ive taken a photo of the offending pipe which leaks oil, can someone tell me what it is and why it leaks.

its the mushroom looking rubber thing in the pipe

can ayone shed some light on this, when you look at the engine from the front of car, to the right of the head there are some rubber pipes and one of them has a sort of plastic cap/mushroom on it, this is leaking oil onto stuff underneath it, any ideas.

i reckon i might be getting the bottom ball joint bit wrong, with the bottom arms on the passat does it mean there is no seperate ball joint as its part of the arm. someone help.

time has come to do the top arms on the sport, and also the cv joint does the squeaky bed routine on one side, so am going to replace both joints as the other is suspect to, also as bottom ball joints are cheap id do these as well, can anyone say what stuff to get, as ebay there 12 quid, eurocarpart...

well i cant tell, the car is for sale with this fault, the guy has a small car repair outfit, did the fault reading, said it was 2 glow plugs, replaced all four and diagnostic light still on, their not vw specialists so unknown what equip they have must have vag com etc but not sure, they dont want ...
