Re: Modded B6 Passats
Wait, so they also make a r36 CC?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Indeed they do, although it isn't badged as an R36, it does have the same engine and gearbox and Haldex system. They dont look any different to a normal CC at all (no subtle kit like the R36). However, if you go for a later one 2...

Re: Modded B6 Passats
R36 was released in 2008 and ran until 2010. I don't think the 3.6 was available in the UK in non R36 guise, just the 3.2 V6. It was in the CC. Ahhh yeah, you're right. Although this again was only 2008 onwards and was the same lump/running gear as the R36. The earlier 3.6 FSi that Richard is refer...

Re: Modded B6 Passats
R36 = V.Nice. But even them's not immune to a bit of oil pump trouble #:-s Some 3.6L VR6 FSI engines came from the factory with improperly installed bolts attaching the oil pump drive sprocket to the block. This bolt could back out, and since the sprocket is driven by the timing chain this could ca...

Re: Modded B6 Passats
Between £10k - £15k at the moment. Depending on age, condition and history. Don't by a cheap one that's been skimped on maintenance. Both Haldex and DSG need to be serviced to stay reliable and fault free.

Re: Modded B6 Passats
How quick are they? I mean it's a pretty chunky car? Are they worth the money speed wise? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pretty quick for something you can move a wardrobe in. Theres loads of other stuff out there that's quicker, but this is so discreet that it allows you to sneak up ...

Re: .:R36 Wagon
Then on a Sunday night, 3 weeks ago I just happened to be on eBay when a Biscay Blue Wagon came up in my search... 44K, one owner from new, just had DSG & Haldex service at VW. It looked to tick all the boxes and it was only £10K. I immediately contacted the seller who was only 15 miles from m...

Re: RLine kit
Might be worth calling TPS and seeing what the price is for 4 new R line ones. The cost of the new ones may offset the cost of the time spent prepping the old ones and that way it won't matter if they do break.

Re: RLine kit
My Hi Def skirts that I had on my old B6 saloon came with new ones that were smooth plastic already in primer. The originals are textured. There's no reason that they cant be sanded down and primed with high build primer to smooth them out though.

Can't help but think you and Chris need to swap wheels though. I think yours would look better on the Helios and his on the Mercs!

Re: .:R36 Wagon
Bit of an update. At the beginning of the month, I attended the UKPassats Gathering (nice to meet so many of you) so I spent a couple of days prior to the show cleaning the car. The exterior just got a glaze, it didn't need much attention at all, but the interior needed work. All the seats, carpets ...

I thought the show was great. I think you struck the right balance between keeping us entertained and letting us get on with our own thing. The raffle, show ‘n’ shine and people’s choice presentations were great. But at the same time I also had more than enough time to walk around the other pa...
