Re: My B5.5 Sport Wagon...

Progress is slow/ non existent lol. Changed jobs so now do 500 odd miles per week. She's going well though still. Just had the front suspension arms, track rods and CV boots done. Was going to lower it too but didn't want to spend the money on something not particularly necessary, especially with th...

Re: My B5.5 Sport Wagon...

Cheers guys. Keeping my eyes peeled for interior bits etc. Got a vision in my head of how I want it to end up. Looking forward to getting the suspension sorted as they're proper soft as standard! Anyway, here's a couple of pics with new plates fitted. Like I said, I had some cut down plates but they...

Re: My B5.5 Sport Wagon...

Just fitted my personal plate, fitted short plates that were on my B4 but think they look a bit poo lol. Think I'm going to order some nice simple full size ones. Also looking at a side marker module so I can fit dual filament bulbs to the front indicators to make them into side markers. Other than ...

My B5.5 Sport Wagon...

So then, after the demise of the B4 I needed a replacement. I was going to go for a Caddy but after a bit of thinking/research I decided against it. After a bit of browsing, the B5.5 popped up at a reasonable price and better still it wasn't too far away. Basically the car is a Passat TDI Sport 130 ...

Re: 'Ecto 1' my B4 wagon

Unfortunately this isn't a good update. Had a bit of a crash a couple of months back. Guy slammed his brakes on for a pheasant of all things. His Civic stopped quite a bit faster than the old Passat. So here's a pic of the damage http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/G60PB/Passat/DSC_0997_zpsb87ce6a...

Re: window washer jets bad smell !!!

I'll have to get some white vinegar or sterilizing fluid as my washer bottle stinks! Thought it was the pollen filter to begin with. As I was cleaning that area out I kept catching a whiff coming from somewhere else. Turns out it was the washer bottle. On the plus side the plenum drains are spotless...

Re: 'Ecto 1' my B4 wagon

Not much happened with this....got some 195/40's for the front wheels and some bigger adaptors. Not played with the coils yet but I think they need replacing. Got some bargain mk3 GTI front seats so she's much more comfy to drive :) I'll post some new pics after I've cleaned her up a bit. Planning a...

Wicked :)

I don't normally like satin finishes but yours works really well :) It just needs some nice rims to finish off the outside

matbarlo wrote:What size tyres and spacers are you running on the rear with the 928s mate?
They're 195/45R16's with 25mm adaptors. Plan is to go 35mm adaptors on the rear and change the front tyres to 195/40R16's. Bit of a tweak to the coilovers and she should sit pretty :)

Hopefully

Thanks for the comments :)

I might have to split my headlamps too for some tinting action. Gives it a bit more 'attitude' :)

wow, shame they not so common cars, would love to one of them too, yours look so clean and simple,so you get rid of ZW1's in the end? The ZW1's belonged to my mate. I tried them on but only the rears would fit. The fronts needed smaller dishes and smaller tyres. Would've worked out big money to get th...

Just a cheeky bump

Not done anything to her as such, just service stuff & new discs and pads all round.

Planning on doing something with the wheels and more lows.

Really after some decent front seats. Any ideas?

Got round to fitting my front fogs :)

Need some decent blanks now though. I have some but they're a bit yellowy/cloudy on the lenses. Anyway of restoring them? The lenses are split from the main part too.

All sorted thanks to red shed and me man Dave who fetched them for me. Cheers boys

Thanks for the tip on the Chinese stuff. I know they produced the Jetta over there which had a B4 front end. Very curious creation!
