Re: What's your view towards raising the speed limit to 80
It's the same in France, very few three lane motorways, all two lane and the drivers obey the law and move in as soon as they've overtaken, even if there is another car not far away, they still pull in until they need to overtake again. I'm all for raising the speed limit, the example of cars being ...

That looks like a lot of work.
What about fresh oil, straight from the supermarket, can that go straight in?

Re: who runs veg oil?
I'm interested in this as I can get hold of a lot of WVO. What is the process for cleaning it up for use, is it as simple as just running it through a sieve???
I've got a B5 AFN and I hear they are good for veg oil, can someone confirm?

The picture above with the boat is the road towards Darts Farm, it's on a flood plain to always goes quite high there, although this is easily the highest I've ever seen it. This is the river Exe on the right hand side. On the left is all fields http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c159/edblackmore/44A...

Brake travel
Hi All, My car failed it's MOT the other day on all number of things. One of them was the rear calipers. One side showed no efficiency at all and the other was leaking brake fluid. My mechanic changed both rear calipers for new items, using the same discs and pads as they were still in good order. I...

Re: Letting cars in traffic
JK has hit the nail on the head.
Also, I take care of my front bumper and leave the rear to the person behind. If everyone did this, ie, concentrated on their front bumper in heavy traffic, there wouldn't be any problems.

Re: HELP WITH THESE BBS ALLOY I BOUGHT
No, just buying them won't guarentee they'll fit, for a start, are they definately 5x100?? Also need to check the centre bore and make sure the offsets are OK. The wheels are ET35, and with those adaptors they will essentially become ET20 because the adaptor is 15mm. They may poke and possibly need ...

Re: HELP WITH THESE BBS ALLOY I BOUGHT
OK, so you need to measure as per the instructions in that link, it will tell you what PCD they are. Then, lets assume they are 5x130, you would need to get some 5x130 x 5x112 adaptors. You'd also need to measure the centre bore as they may need spigot rings to make them fit, and measure the bolt ho...

Re: Couple of Smoke questions.
Not sure about the first issue, I thought blue smoke normally meant burning oil, I wouldn't be too worried unless it was using a lot of oil, which is doesn't sound like. The second one is normal, mine kicks out a nice amount of soot when I boot it, particularly useful when there are a bunch of chavs...

Re: HELP WITH THESE BBS ALLOY I BOUGHT
Hi mate, I can't quite make out from the picture, but are they 4 stud? Either or, you'll need to measure the holes, I've put a link below so you can work out what PCD they are. http://www.westerntowing.co.uk/acatalog/PCD_Calculation.html Once you know that, you can work out what adaptors are needed.

Saturday sounds OK, any day really is fine.
As for meeting places, it depends what you want, do we just want a carpark to meet in, in which case the services on the M5 is good for a couple of hours due to the facilities available, or do we want to go to a pub for lunch and stuff?

VW won't make a proper powerful saloon while they own Audi and they are making RS4/6's, it just won't happen.
