Wheels first incase you need to do any adjustments to the arches ect ect so you can get your perfect ...... (Insert over used gay scene word here) I know I have said it before you should have no issues with colour match on a small flaked black colour The wheel whore has spoken ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ :D

I always do the thermostat with the other timing belt bits, since the belt has to come off to replace it... Plus, it's a relatively inexpensive part. Good that you replaced the belt, etc. though. It is NOT fun to rebuild the engine after the belt lets loose! I wish I didn't know first hand! :(( Wis...

College at work bought an Up a couple of months back. Engine sounds like a bag of spanners. Took it to the dealer who told him that's just how they sound %-(

Ps I want your knob :-? :-o :shock: I really do looks the perfect size to get my hand around and move it back and forwards, looks smooth too :hyst If you ever want to pop round and try it for size :-bd Reckon there's about 5-6 hours work. Hardest part is getting the clocks out the car.

Not personally but a couple of the lads at work have actually been put off of vw's thanks to mk5 golfs. Snapped springs on 08 car, 2x clutches and dmf's on tdi, turbo problems on tdi etc etc. Not justVW's. Bought a brand new merc clc in 08. The gearbox disentagrated after 7 months. Never gonna touc...
