What fuel filter?

Hi y'all.

I'm just about to buy the bits from Eurocarparts to service my 2002 remapped PD100, could somebody recommend what fuel filter to go for please?

Thanks

Re: TDI Performance Upgrades

Mine was £200 including the travel. As I drive for a living, that was well worth the money in economy alone, the extra power is just a bonus ;)

Re: TDI Performance Upgrades

I can second the remap idea. I had PD100 done this year and the difference is immense!! Much better fuel economy too. Simon at CCCTech did mine, highly recommended.

I put a load of pictures up on my post about the MFD that might help. I can't find a link to it from my iPad though :(

Re: Allard kit or EGRvalve kit? Is there a difference?

Thanks guys.

The thing that concerns me is that it says 'ASZ Tdi PD 150 ARL Tdi PD + 160 PD', but there's no mention of PD100. Does that matter?

Re: Allard kit or EGRvalve kit? Is there a difference?

Thanks for posting that link to the Allard one. Does anybody know if that will work for my 2002 1.9 TDi PD100, it's been remapped too if that makes a difference...

I've got a spare loom for the light if anybody wants it. I paid for one as well as getting one bundled with the light from Kufatec. Still in original wrapping. Just pay me the postage ;)

Re: Does the Gamma headunit play DVD-R's/RW's?

Or look out for an MFD1 nav unit. The stock gamma unit was OK sound wise, I was using a connects2 unit to play use my iPhone through it. However, when I put the MFD in, using the same connects2 setup, the sound quality was massively improved!! It's certainly not like have a proper sound system and s...

Re: Computer screen

I've read that that's a common fault on these cars. I think mine is starting to go too. It's an ideal time to upgrade to a full FIS display if you can get hold of one.

Re: DIY footwell lights

Nice one Tim, looking forward to the pics. I'm all about the interior lights and must get some in the Passat. I've got some cool blue LED's in my Mitsi but as I drive my Passat 9 times out of 10, I should really pull my finger out and get it done.

I've just installed a W8 interior light today, so I'll let you know how it looks when it gets dark. Thanks to Hillbill for the write up or I wouldn't hav...

Re: Clutch advice please

No you cannnot skim it :hyst It's up to you, but according to few people I have asked - dual mass flywheel is better option for a PD engine. You can risk it, leave it alone and get just clutch done. You may be fine, but if flywheel fails then you are paying for the labour to take gearbox and clutch...

Re: Clutch advice please

Thanks for the info guys, it's much appreciated. So would the flywheel need to be replaced rather than just skimmed? Or can you not do that with a dual mass flywheel? If that's the case, would it make more sense to do a solid flywheel conversion? I won't be putting any more power through it so I won...

Clutch advice please

Morning all. I've recently had my 2002 PD100 remapped which I'm over the moon with. However, my clutch has started slipping now. The car has 118k miles on it and is probably still on the original clutch. What I need to know is, do I replace it with another PD100 clutch or can I put a PD130 clutch on...

passat flying machine, big thanks Simon CCC!

I was amazed at how much faster my Passat was after the remap. It's transferee the car quite substantially. But I went out in my GTO again last weekend for the first time in ages and remembered what quick is about. And that thing weighs nearly 1800kgs!!!! :D

Another voted for remap here. More expensive than chips or boxes but done properly. Simon at CCCTech did mine. Wallop!! :D

Re: Just had it remapped

I was getting anywhere between 34 and 36 before, I'm now getting between 40 and 42. That's a combination of conditions though, I'm a service engineer for the south east of England so do quite a lot of travelling in a fully loaded car. I have also blocked my EGR valve on Simon recommendation so I don...

VW MFD1 install (picture heavy)

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. That lead has been the fix mine as far as I'm concerned. I think my disc is a 2006, where did you get your later one? My antenna is a cheap eBay one as pictured, and it does only ever see 8 satellites max. As the kind chap posted, that's really nothing to worry about. On...
