Re: Drivers door not unlocking
Question for you Sam - did it start working again when it was raining? My driver door puddle light, and lights on beep wasn't working, fixed itself when it was raining so I now suspect as well as resoldering the door lock switch I might need to renew my door seal. Just a thought Yeah it does do tha...

I had a similar problem to this earlier.... anyhow it lost boost completely then I stopped switched the car off and back on and the problem dissapeared, I assume it wasn't the car going into limp mode cause I had no lights flash up what soever, has anyone ever had th...

Re: Drivers door not unlocking
I'll get it done. Just typical that it all starts happening at this time of year... don't mind working on cars over summer or when it's not raining but Yorkshire loves to rain

Re: Drivers door not unlocking
Well it doesn't seem to be sticking. It opens sometimes and then doesn't others. Is it worth mentioning that the car doesn't even register the fact that the doors open

Drivers door not unlocking
Hello all,
tried searching this but nothing much came up.
My drivers door has stopped opening on the fob, it will lock when I lock the rest of the car but rarely opens. I haven't got access to vagcom at the moment. Anyone had this problem had this before?

Re: Phone Holders
I have one of the aux inputs that plugs into the cd changer... the cables quite short so I want it as close as I can to the stereo so I think one with a flexy mount will be the best, hence why I need to glue the cup down instead!

Re: Key fobs lost it's range
Hmm but surely both keys would be having problems if it was the ccm? I think I am going to buy another fob and put all my internals and blade from the good key into it and use the short range one as a spare.

Key fobs lost it's range
Hi all. My key fobs lost it's range, it did a while back so I just assumed the battery had died (only worked with 2ft of the car) So I started to use my other key until I replace the battery, the other key worked from a good 10 ft away. I have now replaced the battery in the other key and it still o...

I don't really want to buy second hand without seeing them.
I'll look into ring ones. Either way I will be relaying the bulbs off the alternator with 100w bulbs so they'll be bright!

Need new headlights... What to go for?
Mine are shot... projectors are misted, lenses are fogged, reflectors are corroded. I have been looking on ebay and I am not sure which ones to go for... Intermittent ABS/TRC light
Just been out for a cruise in the Passat and the ABS and Traction Control lights keep flashing on, then when I turn the car off they go away.... then every couple of starts they come on. You can buy VW ones, just measure the clip size on yours, IIRC they're a 57mm http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-Volkswagen-VW-Alloy-Wheel-Center-Caps-Golf-Jetta-Polo-Passat-Sharan-55mm-Hub-/121165665551?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item1c3609550f Something like these ones

You only take the bottom one out, and there's a lump that sticks up that the spring seat will sit on.
