Re: B6... A Working Progress

Well I'm getting my money out off the soldering iron :D the LEDs arrived today so I set about drilling the door handles and splitting the window switches away on the rear doors and passenger door and then the central locking switch on the drivers door. Soldered the LEDs in and glued them in place. T...

Re: TPMS ABS pin no?

The button resets after a warning, which causes the system to relearn, it does not set the tyre pressures Yes we know that when you first install the tpms you reset it so that over the next 10-15 miles it can learn the tire characteristics (ie. when the tire is at the correct pressure). We are tryi...

I've just read the mk5 golf tpms retro fit guide and they say pin 27. So I'm confused as you as to which pin.

Re: TPMS ABS pin no?

Unsure as the coding was accepted ok and I've used the pin as shown in the how to. How do you reset the tpms? I thought that with the ignition on you press and hold for ten seconds.

Re: B6... A Working Progress

I just followed the how to guide to be honest. Doing it the vcds way as I thought that I needed to in order to adjust the brightness of the outer rings and to turn on another reverse light.
What way do you recommend?

The led rings I have are the new type with indicators built in as well.

Re: who's ready for the gathering ??

I'm looking forward to it as its my first show, but unfortunately the bodykit won't be ready :( suppose its for the best as it gives me time to finish of everything else and to try and source a r36 rear bumper. Anyone got one kicking about?

I've been reading up on what I have to do to change the steering wheel to a mkvi golf wheel and found this how to with part listings. It seems very good. Hopefully it will help someone as much as its helped me.

I know what your saying and painted makes sense and I had decided. I'm just surprised at how well it turned out and no ones done it yet, but again there could be a reason for that :hyst  More than likely it will get sprayed, but here's a photo of the heater switches at night http://i1266.photo...

Re: B6... A Working Progress

I've just spent the night making up the loom for the skyline lights. It's handy to have a spare tailgate to work on. http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj532/homerdog81/6f7aefff.jpg After a lot of head scratching I'm finally finished. Just need to solder a repair cable on Tuesday when tps get them ...
