Thats what i was thinking ,maybe a blockage but without the thermostat it seems to run ok . Found a guide on how to get codes out of the climatronic, So just went outside for a ciggy and come up with these codes , cleared them afterwards too. I shall run it up tomorrow and see what comes of that . 2...

So this is peeing me off , removed stat and runs sweet ,i took it for a drive and didnt overheat but temp sat at 90 wen stationary .still no heat in heaters tho .

More of the stat should be in pump that stat housing , like the side you see the spring more is in the pump ? , twas the way it come out

Sorry for confusion , i changed the thermostat due to heaters not working and temp gauge hardly moving .?
So to be clear the stat was changed and then it overheated

Bit more info
Heaters on full blast hot aswell by the way ,
I turned the engine off before it could over heat like it did the day i replace the stat and went for a drive ,and all it was doing was pressurising .

Thermostat already replaced for an aftermarket one , and it was tested prior to removing the water pump by putting in a boiling kettle , results were that it opened fine .

So today i got some spare time to finish taking the pump off . Took the front off the pump to acess the impella and it seems fine no broken fins or shaft spinning without it . I shall be replacing it as its off and i already painf and ordered one on its way . But this is confusing as i took the smal...

Ok so now i cant seem to figure out how the viscous fan clutch comes off the pulley ?? After this its plain sailing . Help is much appreciated ,

Thanks for the help , i shall take the bracket off tomorrow and investigate more . The thing that still baffles me is if you look at the pic i uploaded . See the aux belt tensioner behind there theres a tensioner and it looked to be attatched to the pump housing ? Can anyone confirm it is or isnt ? ...

Also would it be best for me to get a metal impeller pump instead of plastic as the plastic ones are like £25 for the pump and housing on ebay ? Where as my local motor factors want £54 ?

Wicked mate thanks ,haven't really been able to get my head in there enough to investigate . But i did do the bottle test , let it warm up to 90c on the temp gauge and popped it off into the bottle ,at first sum foam like bubbles come out and then a splutter of some water out and then stopped , from...

Right i changed the stat and went to bleed it up but nothing cane out of the lest heater matrix while engine running ,so i popped of the matrix inlet and only a dribble comes out even at higher revs . So i put my mouth around the expansion tank and blew into it and water came out of the inlet . I ha...
