Re: Pioneer SPH-DA120 Car Stereo with Apple CarPlay
As others have said the reverse camera comes on instantly with my android head unit. Everything is supplied to get you started. All leads and canbus adapter. If you email the seller with the car number plate they'll usually send absolutely everything needed. In my case though they sent the wrong fak...

Get an android head unit instead. They're a million times better.
Plenty of threads on here about them. I've had mine over a year and its been superb.

If the tyre pressure is fine try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then put back on.
If the warning is still on the dash after that take wheel off and check sensor.

If you havent already tried it, disconnect the battery for a few minutes then fire it up again. Just to reset everything.
All types of anomalies can come up on the dash when an electrical surge occurs.

Re: Leaking windscreen washer fluid.
I had a similar issue on my old B5.5. I traced the leak to the rubber seal between the motor and the washer bottle (in the passenger side wheel arch, behind the plastic cover) I ended up replacing the seal........ still leaked so I covered the area in silicoln sealent and that sorted it. This is th...

Leaking windscreen washer fluid.
I've saw a few posts on the subject but do i really have to start dismantling the car to check where the leak is? I saw the warning on the screen saying i was low so i topped up and it lasted about a week before the warning was up again. I was indeed empty of fluid again. The motor is still working ...

Myself and my 2 lads all use the same garage. He's honest and fair. If the cars need work done he'll always flag it up. Took me years to find an honest mechanic. I was sick of going to places that just rip you off. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to pass this time. There's been a few creaks and s...

Vw indies are very reliable these days. I got mine done for £300 4 years ago. It's due again soon as will be going the same place.
Just go somewhere were they have done the exact same job hundreds of times with no issues.

Well I never. I thought they all had them. I'm sure you could get something to go on top of that back bit to make it into an armrest. Have a look on ebay.
Personally, I couldn't live without my armrest.

Seems I only post on dpf issues these days :esm Luckily for you Birmingham is probably the best place in Britain for getting a dpf out and remapped. There are dozens of places. I actually got mine done there 4 and a half years ago. It was a lot of fun driving down there in limp mode. Place on Lichfi...

Re: About to roll off a cliff, help needed urgently!
That's the NGK one bought and old one to be sent back on Saturday for a refund. Another thing I have noticed is a clattering noise cambelt side of the engine. Would the noise from a failing balance shaft be that noticeable? Could it be the freewheel pulley on the alternator? Can't find anything abo...

Well thats the DPF "sorted" with no issues on the 25 mile drive home and no alarms. MPG has come back to what i expect on the cluster showing an average of 52mpg driving gently following traffic. Lets hope this is the end of my DPF issues! You'll be fine now. Although with your luck you j...

Get it off and gutted mate. Map it out then put it back in. It'll cost you a couple of hundred quid but it won't bother you ever again. No more dpf trouble after that. And no dolphins or polar bears will die as a direct consequence of your actions. Even if you sort it temporarily it will bite you a...

Agreed, but I can't help thinking I will have to spend 4 figure sums putting it all back in a year or so time. Mines been out for 4 years now. Very nice squire. Personally I think black gloss instead of grey but it looks great. My level is that I had to replace the chrome strips on my slats this week. 8mm from halfords for £7.99. I always used the comparison sites until this year. Direct line were always the ones to avoid but they were the cheapest by a mile this year. I've got my mum and dad and friends on it. They must have had a policy rethink I reckon because they were so expensive in the past. £300 a year in a postcode...
