Thanks for the correction.Gazwould wrote:You mean 140 bhp , remapped figures should be 177 hp and 291 ft/lb .
Any suggestions where I could get it done somewhere between Reading and Slough?

Passat CC Cannot Re-map
I had psyched myself up for a remap of my 2011 Passat CC, and was excited at the prospect of going from 140 to 170bhp. B-) A new insurance policy was lined up, and I was booked in for a remap with Angel Tuning in Banbury. When I spoke to Tom (nice, knowledgeable chap!) :ymhug: he warned me that the ...

Re: Any Down-side to Re-Map?
I have a Passat CC 140. I'm considering a remap by Angel Tuning. Apart from increased insurance premiums, are there other disadvantages to a remap which increases power to 170? Hi, If you find you have any problems with insurance then please feel free to drop me a line. Regards, Dan. Thanks Dan My ...

Re: Any Down-side to Re-Map?
Increased risk of speeding fines lol, bit of extra wear and tear on tyres, dual mass and clutch depends on how hard you push it and how component kind you are with your driving style. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD Generally I drive fairly gently. My CC returns 70+mpg on a long run and 55-60 o...

Re: Passat CC Remap
One additional question - I'm an economical driver rather than a speed merchant. I'd hope the incresed torque means I can get more fuel economy.
Is this the case, or do the benfits only come when driving harder?
Thanks for all the replies so far.

Passat CC Remap
I have a 140 Bluemotion Passat CC which I am considering getting re-mapped. According to my insurance company, if the increase in power is 11%-20%, then the increased premium is £22 per year which seems very reasonable. Above 20% and the underwriters will not insure. Now, all the remaps I've seen a...

Hi All, I'm a long term Passat fan. My first Passat was bought when I worked in Germany in the late 1970s. Since that very positive experience I have only owned Passats, 6 in all, and all petrol. But I have just bought a 1-year old Passat CC Blue Motion, which is my first diesel car. I'm looking for...

Questions - Passat CC My First Diesel Car
Hi All, just bought a 1 year old Passat CC Blue Motion, and although I've owned 6 petrol Passats over the last 30 years, it's my first diesel. So I diligently read the owner's handbook, In the handbook it talks about glow plugs, spare keys etc. But it's gobbledy-gook and it must have been written by...
