i bought a hand held scanner from them and it wasnt compatible with my car even though all the details on the box made it look like it would at first i thought it was the scanner and they offered to change it then i found it wasnt compatible so they offered a refund or exchange for another unit that...

or is it something like the part numbers supercede one another and the new part numbered one has one less brown mark to identify the difference

i have contacted the seller again as someone on club gti has told me that it doesnt support my car as my passat uses kwp 1281 protocol for engine diagnostics. i have asked him if he has any scanners that use that protocol onwards that he can exchange the unit for. if not i will be asking for a refun...

just been out to car again to make sure im using it right an it will talk to airbags and auto hvac
it will not connect to engine abs or central electrics

the one i got upto now ive managed to reset my oil/service light and it only cost £45 bargain

yes ignotion on i reset the oil/service indicator it just wont talk to the car on the other modules bar 1 and i cant remember if it was abs or auto hvac (i take it thats aircon) but everything else is link error
im going to see what it does on mark ws car tomorrow and see what happens from there

if it works it gives the code and a description of the fault apparently
