I have noticed on some mornings when i start my 3 year old Passat the heated steering wheel switches on by itself. I have never seen that happen before. It only happens on first start of the day. Anyone else see this happen?

Hasn't made any difference to economy, it could be slightly better. On a motorway run from Holyhead to Southampton i averaged 55mpg.

Mine is slightly different engine the 240bhp version. I changed the oil at 10k and the level was still full never had to top it up.

My old B7 140bhp was fitted with a 170 turbo and DPF delete with remap. Clutch held up no problems all day long. I think some of the 140's have the same clutch as the 170's anyway but the DMF is balanced differently.

It's not sulfation that kills a well maintained end of life battery it's corrosion of the positive plates Sulfation only happens to a battery that is undercharged or left in a discharged state too long

Was talking to dtuk. They advised the later boxes that controlled boost wouldn't suit my car as it caused problems hence why I went remap.

I decided to remap my 240 bitdi Passat. It really is a no brainer as the handling and 340mm brake set up, 4X4 is just aching for the extra bhp release :twisted: It was dynoed standard firstly.
