I thought about a carPC but I am puzzled... Is there a way of having the audio going through the stereo and having a separate screen mounted on the dash or something? So I could have a decent pioneer or something with aux in, wire the sound from the PC to that, and a VGA lead from the PC to a screen...

I have a superb but was wondering if anyone with a B5 or B5.5 passat had managed to replace their headunit and keep the steering wheel remote controls and maxidot display of track and station info between the rev counter and speedo?
