It has lowered the tickover
Sounds smoother and there is NO LAG AND NO DROPPING BOOST

Sorry if someone has already suggested this but iam on my phone so doeant show all replys but for what it costs try blanking the egr valve off thathas been suggested to me it was only a fiver for 2 plates small price if it works.

Did mine a little while ago, if you're doing it you really ought to do the cambelt, rollers and tensioners, water pump, thermostat and the alternator and auxiliary belts. i think this is the egr valve and it is even blowing soot out of it

I think I have located the problem dont know what it os yet but majority of the soot is around the egr and where the egr pipe goes into the botttom of the turbo fingers crossed it is just loose or a gasket as mini dub said hope it isnt more sinister.

He has changed the title of it since phil posted it they is really a bad thing to say

True mate one thing when I put my foot down and it doesnt boost there is a squeling noise then when it does come on to bosst the squealing stops iam going to get under the bonnet and get some photos put up when I leave my lasses house.

The smoke is coming from the turbo it's self? It it is then look at it sharpish as it sounds as tho the turbo could be cracked It could also be a leaking manifold gasket!
