Re: Initial D : Drift Racer
It is definately worth a look if you like Fast and the Furious type of films. It has very little CGI and has some pretty skillful driving in it. The subtitles can be a bit annoying, but then I like the Taxi films aswell which probably doesn't say much for my film taste's. It is based on the ma...

Re: Unsure what to do
Sounds like you have had a ruff time of it mate. :( The Dentist you have been seeing sounds like a bit a pleb. As I said in my earlier reply, lodge a complaint with the PCT and they will investigate him. You might get lucky and get some money back, but don't hold your breath. I wouldn't go back to h...

Re: a bit low
I live less than a mile from a RAF base and have to put up with chinooks going over all day, every day (except weekends). They fly over my house so low that all my windows and my front door shake. They also fly over with crates, massive guns and Land Rovers hanging from the bottom. Bit scary really,...

dubmeister, My wife is Head Dental Nurse at a Private Practice, so the info bellow is from her: "As long as you are with the NHS you can lodge a complaint to the PCT (Primary Care Trust) but I doubt you will get any money back. These guys sort of govern the NHS Dentists. As long as you have had...

Be nice if it was a Turbo S - 247 bhp for nothing!!!!
At worst its going to be a 2.5l, not that quick but it would be good fun.

Where abouts are you? When I've finished repairing my aftermarket bumper I'll have the lower grille spare and it's yours if you want it. It was given to me for free by a kind member on here so only fair that I pass it on again. Cheers mate, I will take you up on that offer. 8) I'm in North Hampshir...

Re: Nice relaxing day off.........no chance!!!!
Did it do much damage to the plastic grille? Gonna need a new insert, but it has also pulled the plastic bit a away from the painted part of the bumper. Also has pulled some of the plastic off the number plate surround. Just another thing to add to the list to be done.  Tyres were £11...

Nice relaxing day off.........no chance!!!!
Woke up this morning thinking I would have a nice relaxing day, preparing myself for the 3x12 hour night shifts over the weekend. It would have been too much to ask. Phone call from the wife, she had just finished the school run and was on her way to work. There had been an accident on the motorway ...

Re: Want to apppeciate your Passat more......?
This is my mother-in-laws car which she got for when she passes her test. I took her for a lesson in it once, never again. It has no power steering which she is not used to and she almost drove into a large tree. The Micra is an Si model and has the 1.3 16v engine which was ok, but not ideal for a 7...

Passat Animal Trouble
It seems my Passat has been a magnet for animals in the last couple days. Yesterday I was driving to work, in the rain, and out of bush popped a rather large deer. Smacked on the brakes and some how managed to stop hitting it. Then later the same day I was driving home and came across a pheasant, di...

You should get a 14 day period where if you are not happy with your phone or contract you can change them. Not sure about cancelling the contract though. It sounds as if they have miss sold you the contract and you should be able to cancel it on those grounds. I had problems with Vodafone last year ...

Re: Newbie Q Passat 1.8t MPG
I do about 350 miles a week and manage to get around 36 mpg. I recently swapped from a diesel which was giving me about 42 mpg (not a passat though). With the price difference between petrol and diesel at the moment it has not really affected my pocket too much.
