Yeah man. Set of wheels and a good drop totally improve the look of a car. Can't go lower really as I always have to lug a lot of gear around at weekends.

Luckily I'm mates with my mechanic. He said as long as it isn't cooked, it's a fairly cheap job. He's picking it up in the morning to put a new belt on quickly and run it up to temp. So I'm keeping my fingers, and everything else crossed.

So. Not a good weekend. Coilovers arrived Friday. So all ready to get lowered. Then I got in the car to drop them over to my garage and its running lumpy as hell. Stop off at my mates workshop and he plugs in his VAGCOM. Turns out the coilpack has gone. Seems to be a common fault on the V5 engines. ...

Anyway. While the sun was out, I cleared out the drain holes under the battery. The one directly under the battery was fairly ok. The one under the brake servo was totally blocked tho. All ready now for the winter.

And as for the coil overs, I'll be phoning them tomorrow. If there is still no news I will be demanding my money back.

Productive day. When I got the car, I knew the brakes were shot. So a trip to Euro car parts, and I had a boot full of new discs and pads. Nice day when I woke up this morning, so spent it replacing the brakes and tarting them all up a bit. Why do people let their brakes get like this? All good thou...

Are you guys removing the passenger seat to get to the module? Or can it be accessed with it still in place? Dread to think how bad my wiring is after reading the above posts
